Meet Bethany Friend.
Bethany Friend is a children's book writer. Before becoming a writer, she spent a decade as a teacher. Her favourite subject to teach was language arts where she enjoyed introducing her students to books and teaching them to craft their own stories. Bethany has a nonfiction picture book, Butterflies Strong and Free, being published in the fall. It is a beautifully illustrated, cross-Canada adventure for children of all ages. Bethany lives with her husband and two children - all avid readers - in Ontario, Canada. She loves using her beautiful backyard and her children's huge imaginations as inspiration for her manuscripts. She has officially caught the writing bug and she. can't. stop!
